PNCI - Program For Nursing
Curriculum Integration
Developed in partnership with leading educational institutions, the Program for Nursing Curriculum Integration, or PNCI, is a ground-breaking learning package that was the first to integrate prelicensure curriculum with high-fidelity patient simulation.
CAE Healthcare’s Program for Nursing Curriculum Integration (PNCI) is a powerful learning tool focused on educational concepts and established competency standards in the existing prelicensure nursing curriculum. This comprehensive program helps deans, directors and faculty of nursing programs provide the most complete education to their learners to improve the overall quality of patient care and safety. PNCI offers turnkey patient simulation that is aligned with nursing education competencies, including assessment, fundamentals, medical-surgical, high acuity, chronic/community, obstetrics, pediatrics, and infants. The 65 evidence-based Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) were designed to operate with CAE Healthcare’s line of patient manikins but can be used with other manikins as well.
Updated in 2018
Reviewed by subject matter experts and validated by CAE Healthcare’s nurse educators, the SCEs reflect the United States’ Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals, Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) list of error-prone abbreviations, symbols and dose designations and the NCLEX Test Plan by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
Materials include faculty and learner documents, a facilitator guide, scenario algorithm and patient records (lab and x-ray reports, etc.).
