On each original 3B Scientific® anatomy model, customers will find a smart label with NFC technology and a QR code. This smart label either is located on the base or attached to the model itself as a tag. In order to access all benefits of 3B Smart Anatomy, a quick and secure registration process has been set up. It is initiated upon scanning the label and instantly unlocks all features upon completion of the registration.

3B Smart Anatomy has been developed with the concept of Virtual meets Reality in mind. It is an exclusive combination of the extremely realistic anatomical modelsthat can be taken apart for a tactile representation of human anatomy with incredibly detailed virtual models in the multiple-award winning Complete Anatomy app. 3B Scientific has teamed up with 3D4Medical, the specialist in the development of realistic anatomical content in the virtual format of an anatomy app to create an extensive course library of 3B Smart Anatomy courses. 3B Smart Anatomy courses come free with every registered 3B Smart Anatomy model and include 23 anatomy lectures, 117 interactive virtual models and 39 quizzes. 3B Smart Anatomy FAQ's
One giant step for Anatomy Education
For a limited time, customers may receive an envelope called "Upgrade Kit" with their newly purchased 3B Smart Anatomy model. It includes instructions on how to apply the smart label or the smart tag to your model.
3B Scientific anatomical models with a base:
Simply peel off the holographic label on the back of the "Upgrade Kit" card and stick it on the base of your model. We recommend placing it in the left corner on top of the 3B Scientific logo. This is the best location for the smart label to be scanned with either NFC or QR technology.
3B Scientific anatomical models without a base:
If you have purchased an anatomical model that comes without a base (for example a human skeleton model or a bone model), you will find a hanging tag with an elastic loop to securely attach the tag to your model.
Once you have attached your label to your model, you may scan it to register and activate all 3B Smart Anatomy features. We recommend that you keep your "Upgrade Kit" card for your records as it also contains your unique serial number for reference.
The registration process is fast, easy and secure.
Registration with smart phone or tablet
Please make sure that you have either NFC or QR technology on your device. Now place your device over the label to scan the QR code or to scan the NFC information inside the label. Your device will ask you to proceed to the registration page. Please follow the instructions on your screen to complete the registration.
Registration with computer
To register your model or multiple models on your computer, you need the serial numbers printed on the back of your card. Visit 3bscientific.com/register to complete the registration process and follow the instructions on your screen.
Once a model is registered by the owner, the 3B Smart Anatomy features are automatically unlocked. You may now download the Complete Anatomy app with the free 3B Smart Anatomy courses, your free three-day trial to the full version of Complete Anatomy. Your 5-year warranty upgrade is now active.
Anyone who scans the label after the owner has completed the registration of the model will be able to download the app as well. You may ask your students and co-workers to scan the label for them to benefit from the free 3B Smart Anatomy courses.
You can use the 3B Smart Anatomy course for free up to one year. You may upgrade to a full version of Complete Anatomy Student Plus ($30/year) at any time. The Complete Anatomy app also includes the 3B Smart Anatomy course.
We are happy to tell you that all these newly added features for our original 3B Scientific® anatomical models are completely free of charge.
Other than smartphones, 3B Smart Anatomy also works on laptop or desktop, iPads and tablets.
At the moment, they are only available in English but your 3B Scientific team is working on providing them in more languages.
No, so long as the model has been registered by the owner, there are no limits. You can scan the same tag an unlimited number of times. If you own the model, you should register as the Owner. An unlimited number of others can scan it and register as a User.
